As part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional integration and facilitate seamless movement across member states, Central Corridor countries continue to prioritize improvements in the aviation sector in line with the CCTTFA Agreement.

On 25th April 2025, this commitment was demonstrated through the successful launch of Air Tanzania’s inaugural direct international flight from Dar es Salaam to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA), Adv. Flory OKANDJU was on board the historic flight and participated in the official inauguration ceremony held at N’Djili International Airport in Kinshasa.

The event, attended by senior government officials from both Tanzania and the DRC, marked a significant step forward in promoting efficient, cost-effective, and reliable air connectivity within the Central Corridor. The launch also closely follows the signing of a visa-free agreement between the two countries, further supporting the free movement of people and strengthening regional cooperation.

The Central Corridor remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive trade facilitation, improve transport infrastructure, and promote socio-economic development across the region.
