18th November 2024, the Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor highlighted the pivotal role of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) as a Corridor Management Institution (CMI) during the “Sustainable and Competitive Transformation of Hinterland Management” session at the 19th Round Table of General Directors. This session was part of the 44th Annual Conference of the West and Central Africa Ports Management Association (AGPAOC)
He emphasized the critical importance of CMIs in driving efficient hinterland connectivity and unlocking the full potential of regional trade. By streamlining processes, reducing transit times, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders, CMIs play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness of regional economies.
The AGPAOC conference provided a valuable platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the maritime and port sectors in West and Central Africa. By sharing experiences and best practices, participants sought to identify innovative solutions to enhance port efficiency, improve hinterland connectivity, and promote regional economic integration.
