Dar es Salaam, December 03, 2018: In partnership with the Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP), the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) organized the SSATP Regional Economic Communities Transport Coordination Committee (REC -TCC) meeting, on November 28-30, 2018 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The annual meeting aims at enabling participants to discuss regional integration transport and trade related challenges confronting them and the way to overcome them, as well as providing them with a platform to share best practices and learn from their respective experiences. It is an excellent opportunity to monitor progress in the implementation of the SSATP Regional Integration Pillar activities and come out with recommendations on the way forward and how to improve the situation.
The Opening Ceremony was addressed by the Capt. Dieudonné Dukundane Executive Secretary, CCTTFA, Mr. Yaya Yedan the SSATP Regional Integration Pillar Lead and Mr. Emmanuel Yoro Gouali the Chairman of REC TCC. Delegates were warmly welcomed to the beautiful city of Dar es Salaam and asked to deliberate on policies that will improve the intra-regional trade and regional integration in Africa to support implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area and the Program of Infrastructure Development in Africa.
