Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, 16 June 2026. The Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH today signed an Implementation Agreement under the Africa InCORE – Integrated Corridors for Economic Growth in Africa (Support to PIDA) project during a ceremony held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Agreement was signed by Adv. Flory Okandju Okonge, Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor, and Ms. Nicola Demme-Tsegaye, Head of Programme for Africa InCORE at GIZ, on behalf of the German Development Cooperation. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Members of the Board of Directors of the Central Corridor, who are meeting in Dar es Salaam for the Agency’s 30th Ordinary Board of Directors Meeting.

The Agreement establishes a framework for continued collaboration between CCTTFA and GIZ to promote integrated infrastructure corridor development, regional integration, green economic growth, and intra-African trade across the African continent. Through the Africa InCORE initiative, the partnership will support the advancement of strategic infrastructure projects, strengthen institutional capacities of corridor management institutions, and enhance private sector participation in infrastructure development.

Under the Agreement, GIZ will continue supporting the Central Corridor through key interventions, including the continuation of the Green Economic Development Corridor (GEDC) process, support for project preparation of priority infrastructure projects, capacity building, organizational development, and initiatives aimed at mobilizing investment and strengthening integrated corridor development.

The signing marks another important milestone in the longstanding partnership between GIZ and the Central Corridor and reinforces their shared vision of developing efficient, sustainable, and investment ready transport and economic corridors that drive inclusive growth and regional integration.
