November 25th, 2025, marks another important step in Central Corridor’s growing network of strategic partnerships. On the sidelines of the 21st UNIDO General Conference, the Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA), Adv. Flory Okandju and Ms. Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General of UNIDO and Special Representative for Africa, signed a Joint Partnership Declaration aimed at deepening collaboration on industrial development and investment mobilization.
The declaration sets out a structured framework for supporting the Central Corridor’s Green Economic Development Corridor (GEDC) initiative and reflects a clear shift from discussions to concrete action.
Earlier on that day, the Executive Secretary joined UNIDO’s Africa Investment Roundtable as one of the panelists. The session explored how African countries can unlock bankable projects and strengthen financing pipelines for ready-to-implement investment opportunities. In his remarks, the Executive Secretary shared insights on the Central Corridor’s ongoing transition from a traditional transport route into a fully integrated Green Economic Development Corridor, highlighting its potential to attract green industries, climate-smart investments, and regional value addition.
The Roundtable brought together sector ministers, senior representatives from Development Finance Institutions, Corridor Management Institutions, and private sector leaders. Across the discussions, there was a strong call to move decisively from vision to impact, turning ideas into practical initiatives that deliver real benefits.
Participants underscored that partnerships remain the most powerful driver for scaling up progress and ensuring that Africa’s development ambitions translate into measurable outcomes.
