CCTTFA signed an MoU with Marine Services Company Limited (MSCL) to facilitate its marketing research activities for its services on Lake Victoria and Tanganyika including review of its tariffs and fees. The support also covers capacity building for their Communication department to acquire latest equipment and its staff to be trained.  The support is for 3 years to the tune of TSH 165,600,000 and is a continuation of previous support of TSH 209,470,000 making the facilitation to date worth TSH 375,070,000.The signing ceremony took place in Mwanza at MSCL headquarters between CCTTFA Executive Secretary Adv. OKANDJU OKONGE Flory and MSCL Managing Director Mr. Eric B. Hamissi.

 

Speaking at the event, CCTTFA Executive Secretary Adv. Okandju Okonge Flory reiterated the agency’s commitment to continue the existing partnership between two institutions with the aim of improving transport services on Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika that border Central Corridor Member States. “In implementing the strategic plan of our institution, we have the responsibility to stimulate and develop inland water transportation through the lakes bordering Central Corridor members states, which are Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika, and Marine Services Company Limited is a major stakeholder in fulfilling that mission and I promise you we will continue our cooperation because your success is a great benefit for our citizens and for this region.” said Adv. Okandju.
