Our Executive Secretary Capt Dieudonne Dukundane met with executives from Zanzibar Shipping to discuss sea time offer arrangements for second group of students who are studying at the Dar es Salaam Marine Institute (DMI) under the sponsorship of the Central Corridor TTFA secretariat. CCTTFA under the Transport Policy and Planning department supports Capacity and Training in Maritime sector by providing a scholarship to at least 2 students from each CCTTFA member state country per year. The overall outcome of the project is to have well capacitated CCTTFA stakeholders in the Maritime Sector who can handle the new infrastructure and equipment the member states are heavily investing in the maritime sector.

The first group just concluded their 6 months sea time without incident or accident and we are very proud of their achievement. The second group will embark on their practical sea time training once they are done with the upcoming exams.

Many thanks to Zanzibar Shipping and the Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute.
