CCTTFA Secretariat led by Executive Secretary Capt. Dieudonne Dukundane facilitated a Tripartite Ministerial meeting for Transport Ministers from Burundi, DR Congo and Tanzania on the construction of Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Uvinza, Kigoma (Tanzania) through Musongati in Burundi all the way to Kindu in DR Congo. The meeting took place at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel in Bujumbura, Burundi.
The ministers present were Hon. Eng. Jean-Bosco Ntunzwenimana, Burundi Minister for Transport, Works, Equipment and Land Use, Hon. Didier Mazengu DRC Minister for Transport and Ways of Communication and Hon. Eng. Isack Kamwelwe Tanzania Minister for Works, Transport and Communication. The meeting was to discuss the feasibility study report on the construction of the SGR connecting the 3 CCTTFA member countries.
