CCTTFA today took part in the 1st edition of the Uganda Tanzania Business Forum 2019 taking place at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. At the forum we had the priviledge of hosting their Excellencies John Pombe Magufuli of Tanzania and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda when they visited CCTTFA booth. Our Executive Secretary Capt. Dieudonne Dukundane briefly and impressively took them through CCTTFA initiatives along the Central Corridor.
The Uganda High Commission in Tanzania in collaboration with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) organized the 1st Uganda Tanzania Business Forum under the theme of ‘Promoting Bilateral Trade and Investment for Growth and Sustainable Development’. The two country’s Head of State, President Museveni and President Magufuli officially open the Trade and Investment Exhibition that were thereafter followed by plenary interactive sessions with keynote panelists on the topics:
1. Extractive Industries: Local content as a key to unlocking long-term value
2. Finance: East Africa as an attractive investment destination
3. Bilateral Trade and Infrastructure: Reducing the cost of doing business between Uganda and Tanzania
