CCTTFA Executive Secretary Adv. OKANDJU OKONGE Flory while on official mission to Burundi met with Director General of the Road Agency of Burundi (Agence routière du Burundi) Dr. Eng. MPAWENAYO Régis and his team.
On the agenda was the signing of extension contract valued at USD 79,400 for the design of social economic auxillary projects on the Kayagoro-Buhema road connecting Burundi and Tanzania. The auxillary projects identified on this project are the One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) and border market. The design of the OSBP and border market will take 8 months and will be conducted by the same consultant who prepared the Feasibility study also facilitated by CCTTFA.
Later on, the Executive Secretary visited the construction site for rehabilitation works on Road Number (RN) 3 linking Burundi-Tanzania-DRC-Rwanda. He was accompanied by DG of the Road Agency of Burundi, who are supervising the construction works and 35% of the works has been completed in the last 8 months.
