This week while in Kinshasa, our Executive Secretary and his delegation from the Secretariat were honoured to meet with Hon. Didier Mazengu, the new DRC Minister for Transport and Ways of Communication. The visit was first and foremost to introduce CCTTFA and its activities and to brief the Hon. Minister on ongoing activities in DRC. The ongoing projects in DRC include improvement of Kalemie port, the Lake Kivu integrated Transport program; Lake Tanganyika Integrated Transport Program and the Kalundu Port-Uvira-Luberizi- Kamanyola- Bukavu road project.
DRC holds the Chairmanship of the Interstate Council of Ministers (ICM), the highest organ in the organization structure of the CCTTFA, and Hon. Mazengu noted his sound commitment and readiness to support ongoing projects that sustain our vision of “The Trade Route of Choice”.
