As part of its vision to cultivate highly skilled clearing and forwarding agents across its member states, the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association (TAFFA).
On 11th August 2025, the Executive Secretary of CCTTFA, Adv. Flory Okandju, and the President of TAFFA, Edward John Urio, signed a Memorandum of Understanding that formalizes a framework of cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU seeks to activate the TAFFA Training Centre Outreach Program, an initiative designed to enhance capacity-building in trade facilitation and logistics. Through structured training modules, institutional strengthening, and knowledge-sharing activities, the program aims to raise professional standards and improve service delivery across the logistics value chain in the Central Corridor region.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the CCTTFA Executive Secretary underscored the importance of building human capital in the transport and logistics sector, noting that well-trained professionals are key to efficient, competitive, and sustainable trade corridors.
The partnership between CCTTFA and TAFFA reflects a shared commitment to advancing regional integration and ensuring that clearing and forwarding agents have the skills, tools, and expertise needed to meet evolving industry demands.
