Dar es Salaam, 16 October 2026 — The Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) as the two institutions work towards improved regional transport connectivity, trade facilitation and economic development.

The commitment was highlighted during a courtesy visit by the NCTTCA Executive Secretary, Dr. John Deng Diar Diing, to the CCTTFA Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, where he held discussions with the CCTTFA Executive Secretary, Adv. OKANDJU OKONGE Flory, on 16 October 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two Executive Secretaries to review the existing cooperation between the Central and Northern Corridors and discuss practical steps towards implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) signed between CCTTFA and NCTTCA in January 2026.

Discussions focused on translating the commitments under the MoC into concrete joint initiatives that can contribute to more efficient transport and transit systems, facilitate the movement of goods across the region and strengthen economic integration among countries served by the two corridors.

The Executive Secretaries reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration between the two Corridor Institutions, recognising that closer cooperation can support the sharing of experiences and best practices while addressing common challenges affecting regional transport and trade.

Both institutions further reiterated their commitment to advancing practical cooperation under the MoC and pursuing joint initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity, trade facilitation and sustainable economic development.

The engagement reflects the continued efforts of CCTTFA and NCTTCA to strengthen institutional partnerships and promote coordinated approaches towards the development of efficient and integrated regional transport corridors.
