Following the successful conclusion of the 30th Ordinary Board of Directors Meeting, held in Dar es Salaam from 15–16 June 2026, Members of the Board of Directors of the Central Corridor undertook a technical visit to the Port of Dar es Salaam and the Bravo Dry Port on 17 June 2026. The visit provided Board Members with an opportunity to observe ongoing developments and operational improvements along key logistics facilities serving the Central Corridor.

At the Port of Dar es Salaam, the delegation was briefed on recent investments aimed at enhancing port efficiency, increasing cargo handling capacity, and reducing vessel and cargo dwell times. The Board also visited Bravo Dry Port, where they observed modern cargo handling operations and the critical role played by inland logistics facilities in supporting seamless cargo movement, decongesting the seaport, and improving supply chain efficiency for the Corridor’s Member States.

The Board Members expressed their appreciation for the significant progress achieved in modernizing transport and logistics infrastructure in Tanzania and commended the efforts of the Tanzania Ports Authority, logistics operators, and other stakeholders involved in improving trade and transport facilitation. They noted that such investments are contributing to enhanced regional connectivity, trade competitiveness, and economic integration across the Central Corridor, reaffirming the Corridor’s position as a strategic gateway for international trade in the region.
