On 10 December 2025, the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) convened its 29th Ordinary Board of Directors Meeting, marking another important milestone in the Agency’s ongoing efforts to enhance transit transport facilitation and regional integration along the Central Corridor.

 

A key highlight of the meeting was the review of progress made in the implementation of CCTTFA project activities during the first half of the Financial Year 2025/26. The Board was apprised of the status of implementation of the approved annual work plan and commended the Secretariat for the steady and measurable progress achieved.

 

During the reporting period, CCTTFA registered substantial advancements across several strategic priority areas, notably in:

 

  • Policy development and harmonization,
  • Coordination of infrastructure development initiatives,
  • Corridor performance monitoring and reporting,
  • Maritime transport facilitation,
  • Capacity building of key corridor stakeholders, and
  • Institutional strengthening and operational efficiency.

 

These achievements reflect the Agency’s continued commitment to improving transport efficiency, reducing trade costs, and supporting seamless movement of goods and people across Member States.

 

The meeting was attended by Permanent Secretaries responsible for Transport from the seven Central Corridor Member States, alongside Representatives of the Private Sector from all Member States. Their high-level participation underscored the critical role of collective ownership, public-private collaboration, and coordinated action in advancing the objectives of the Central Corridor.

 

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Secretariat in the effective implementation of planned activities for the remainder of the Financial Year and reiterated the importance of sustained cooperation among Member States and stakeholders to further strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the Central Corridor.
