CCTTFA Executive Secretary Participates in the 2025 Eighth Africa Business Forum, Deposits Zambia’s Instrument of Accession

The Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) participated in the Eighth Africa Business Forum, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). The 2025 Forum focused on advancing regional value chains (RVCs) and special economic zones (SEZs) within the agro-industrial, livestock, and pharmaceutical sectors across Africa.

The discussions at the Forum closely align with the Central Corridor’s vision of transitioning from a transit transport corridor into a Green Economic Development Corridor. This transformation aims to drive high-impact RVCs that offer significant economic potential for the region, supporting sustainable growth and regional integration.

A significant milestone was achieved on the sidelines of the event, as the ES had the distinct honor of depositing Zambia’s Instrument of Accession to the CCTTFA Agreement with UNECA, in accordance with Article 34 of the CCTTFA Agreement. This formalizes Zambia’s membership within the CCTTFA framework, strengthening regional cooperation and enhancing trade facilitation efforts along the Central Corridor.
