While on official mission in Rwanda, CCTTFA Executive Secretary Adv. OKANDJU OKONGE Flory was received by Minister of State in the ministry of Infrastructure Hon. Eng. Patrice Uwase at her office in Kigali together with Permanent Secretary Mr. Fidele Abimana. The Executive Secretary briefed the Minister on ongoing projects being implemented by CCTTFA in Rwanda including railway capacity building and roadside stations.
Hon, Eng. Uwase pledged to speed-up the implementation of the infrastructure projects as trade and transport of cargo depend mostly on good infrastructure. She commended CCTTFA’s efforts of fast-tracking the implementation of its projects along the Central Corridor and promised the government’s commitment to continue supporting CCTTFA Secretariat.
On his part, Adv. OKANDJU emphasized on the need for the government of Rwanda and its affiliated institutions to identify other projects that they want CCTTFA to facilitate in their implementation and the Secretariat are ready and willing to take them up.
