The Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) convened its 30th Ordinary Board of Directors Meeting from 15 to 16 June 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, bringing together representatives from the seven Member States to review progress and guide the future direction of the Corridor.
The Board reviewed achievements recorded during the 2025/2026 financial year, provided strategic guidance on key infrastructure and trade facilitation initiatives, and considered the Business Plan and Budget for 2026/2027. The meeting also served to strengthen governance and reinforce the Agency’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, trade competitiveness, and sustainable economic development across the Central Corridor.
A key highlight of the meeting was the official handover of the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors from the Republic of Malawi to the Republic of Rwanda for a one-year term. The Board expressed its appreciation to Malawi for its leadership and welcomed Rwanda as it assumes the responsibility of steering the Board’s work over the coming year.
The outcomes of the meeting are expected to further advance the implementation of priority regional projects and initiatives aimed at improving transport efficiency, facilitating trade, and promoting economic integration among the Member States.
