The 14th Ordinary Meeting of the Inter-State Council of Ministers (ICM) of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency was convened on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania.

The high-level meeting brought together; Hon Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Transports, Ways of Communication and Opening up of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Hon. Marie Chantal Nijimbere, Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Burundi, Hon. Jacob Hara, Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Republic of Malawi, Hon. Professor MakameMbarawa Mnyaa, Minister of Transport of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Frank M. Tayali, Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Republic of Zambia, Hon. Fred Byamukama Minister of State for Transport , representing Hon. General Edward Katumba Wamala, Minister of Works and Transport of the Republic of Uganda and  Hon. Kabera Olivier, Minister of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Rwanda.

Discussions were conducted in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, underscoring the strong commitment to regional integration and collaboration in enhancing transit transport and trade facilitation along the Central Corridor.

A key highlight of the meeting was the official handover of the ICM chairmanship. The outgoing chair, H.E. Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo, Vice Premier Minister and Minister of Transport, Ways of Communication and Opening Up of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), handed over the leadership to the incoming chair, H.E. Jacob Hara, Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Republic of Malawi.

The successful conclusion of the 14th ICM meeting marked another milestone in the collective efforts to advance the mission of the CCTTFA and deepen regional integration through coordinated transport and trade facilitation strategies.
