Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has introduced a new customs clearance system to facilitate tracking of goods and faster clearance. The system will among other things improve TRA’s efficiency and revenue collection. TRA Commissioner for Customs and Excise, Tiagi Masaki Kabisi, told PUBLIC during a stakeholders meeting in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the system will be operational in March this year.
